About Us

Rich & Emily

Owners & Operators

We have been married since 2017, but we honestly cannot pinpoint an exact moment in which we met, as our family ties started well before we were in the picture, but we were reintroduced, and he asked me out at a local community show (how fitting lol) and the rest is history!

Rich works full time for the Maryland Park Service and owns and operates R. W. Doney Welding & Fabrication.

Emily works full time for the Maryland Department of Agriculture and runs the floral design enterprise within Calf Pasture Farms!

Smith & Wesson

Farm Dogs (or they were suppose to be)

We got Smith and Wesson when they were pups back in 2021! They are littermates and are DEFINITELY brothers. Smith (black & white) and Wesson (tri-color) are Australian shepherd and blue heeler mixes and are every bit of spoiled.

Smith loves playing fetch, snuggles and barking at everything that moves. Wesson loves chewing on bones, cuddles and lounging in the grass. Both boys are very much food motivated and will love you if you have treats.

Booger

Our Mascot Jersey Steer

We purchased Booger at a livestock auction on a very cold February day in 2023 when he was about 6 weeks old.

Booger got his name as he was fairly sick when we brough him home and was quite snot-y and we couldn't decide on a name and were referring to him as "a little Booger" so it just kind of stuck.

He is here to stay and is our resident pet cow, so Emily doesn't get too attached to the beef production cattle.

Hugh

Our Beloved Donkey

Hugh is a red mammoth donkey and we are told he was born in 2017, and after a little bit of research we found that mammoth donkeys can live to be 50 years old, so he may have the be willed to someone. We bought him back in 2023 (same day we bought Booger) when is about 5 1/2 years old.

Hugh has quite the story behind him, but all that matters is he is here now and he is here to stay. He has very goofy and stubborn personality.
